      1 I KNOW in whom I have believed,
      Who, when this precious faith he gave,
      My soul into his hands received,
      And bade me trust his power to save:
      His Spirit doth my heart assure,
      That what I still to him commend
      His constant love shall keep secure,
      Till faith filled up in sight shall end.
