THE LIFTER UP OF MINE HEAD

      Psal 3:3 But thou, O LORD, [art] a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. {for: or, about}

      Here we have a title of the greatest significance. David was sure of God's Power and of His Purpose to restore him to the throne of Israel, and God did restore him and exalted him above all the other kings of his day. Let us give Him His rightful place as our "Glory", and He will not fail to lift us up to the place designed for us for safety and for service. The thing is to Know Him, the true God, and Jesus Christ Whom He has Sent, and He will do the "lifting up".

      Lord, lead us to lay all at Thy feet and leave it with Thee to lift us to the place where Thou wouldst have us. Amen.
