THE HOPE OF HIS PEOPLE

      Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. {hope: Heb. place of repair, or, harbour}

      Blessed Lord, Thou who art the Hope of Israel and OUR Hope, --- blessed Hope, --- our expectation centers in Thee. Our Hope for happiness is in Thee. Thou art the HEART of our anticipation, for we long to see Thee --- Thy pierced hands and feet! Thou art our help in every time of trouble, --- unfailing help! We lean upon Thee. Thou are our HOME for we can find no place of rest apart from Thee. Thou art our HOST, and we know that Thou wilt be at the door to welcome us. Thou art our HEAVEN, for there could be no Heaven without Thee.

      Dear Lord, our Hope is built upon nothing less, than on Thy Blood and Righteousness. Hold us always to this Hope. Amen.
