Matt 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Here is the first title given to our Lord in the New Testament --- Jesus Christ. The chapter contains a host of names, covering three periods of fourteen generations each, but one Name stands out like a radiant star to lighten all the others; one Person to whom all must render allegiance, --- Jesus (Savior) Christ (The Anointed One). At His feet every knee shall bow in heaven and earth.
Let us pour out our hearts to Him in praise and in prayer this day, and every day. Amen.
