Matt 16:20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
This title, "Jesus The Christ", is used a hundred times in the New Testament. "The Savior --- The Anointed One" --- a combination that magnifies the office of the One whom we long to worship. The time had not yet come for them to preach the story of redemption. They were to hold their peace for a season. But now we have the precious opportunity to tell all the world the wonderful message, His Gospel, of Jesus Christ and His finished Work. Do we?
Dear Father, as we go forth today with this precious Name in our hearts and on our lips, Lead us to tell someone of the wonders of the Man, Thy Son, "Jesus The Christ"! Amen.
