MY BELOVED SON

      Mt 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

      Wonderful manifestation! A cloud of glory overshadowing that which was too deep for human eyes to penetrate. The voice of Jehovah attesting that Jesus was His beloved Son and that His Words were to be heard. The same voice was heard in Chapter 3:17 when our Lord was baptized, and once again in John 12:28. His beloved and our beloved! How marvelous is that testimony to Him whom we have learned to love, and because we love Him, we are beloved of the Father.

      Lord, may we breathe it over and over again today, "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine!" Amen.
