OUR BROTHER

      Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

      If this is true, and it is, then the reverse is also true, and He is OUR Brother. The picture is given in the 34th verse: "There came then His brethren and His mother, and, standing without, sent unto Him, calling Him *** And He looked round about on them which sat about Him, and said, 'Behold My Mother and My Brethren.'" How wonderful that He should graciously give this title to those who do the Father's Will. And what is that Will? The acceptance of (Receiving/Believing-on) His Son as our Savior and Lord, and the submission of our will to His Will as revealed in His Word, for His Word IS His Will. How near and dear He is to us, our Lord and our Brother! Hold it fast in your meditation --- "Ours by faith; ours forever!"

      Dear Lord, keep us in loving fellowship with Thyself this day. Amen.
