Luke 1:69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
Here is a title which suggests the strength and power of our Lord --- "Horn of Salvation." The word "horn" as used in the Scriptures signifies "strength" and is often found in Hebrew literature. In the horns, the bull manifests his strength. The Lord Jesus Christ is our strength and a very present help in time of trouble. (Ps 118:14; 92:10; 28:7; 37:39) "But the Salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble." You may be empted and tried today. You may have burdens to bear. Let Him be your "Horn of Salvation."
Lord, strengthen us by the power of thy might for today's service for Thee. Amen.
