Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Here is a new title for our Lord - "Master of the House". How appropriate it is - "Lord of the house - the Head - the Govenor". The "house" is Heaven where He is to rule. Part of the appeal is for earnest effort upon the part of believers to impress upon the unsaved the fact that there is a Heaven and a Hell, and only one Gate to Heaven - Jesus Christ; the other part is that we should remember this in our daily Walk-WITH-God as well! Why do we not make more definite to people the awsome consequences of failure to hear His voice now and that there will come a time when it will be too late?
Dear Lord, may we labor and pray earnestly today that we may be as faithful in our duties in listening to and obeying your voice in Sanctification, as we are in urging upon others the necessity of their Salvation-decision for Christ. Amen.
