ONE SHEPHERD

      John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.

      Israel had a limited view of our Christ. They were wrapped up in themselves. Selfish, narrow in their vision of the Mesiah that was to come, they were without compassion, as we ourselves so often are, having no patience with those who differ from us. Not so our Lord. He had a heart of boundless Love; a Soul longing for the children of men; looking forward into the future, seeing the hatred of the Jews (His own people) to the cross, the cruel death, and then the many sheep, washed in the same Blood, filled with the same Holy Spirit of Life, folded in the one fold. Wonderful vision!

      Shepherd of our lives, enlarge our hearts in sympathy with the pulsings of Thine Own Loving heart. Amen.
