      John 11:27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

      Here is a remarkable confession from the lips of Martha, "The Christ, the Son of God". Lazarus was in the tomb. Her eyes, no doubt, were full of tears, her soul full of sorrow, but her faith in Jesus as the Christ never wavered. She heard that Jesus was coming and called Him "Lord!"; then she said, "I believe that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God!" How sweet! How blessed! But yet the heart of Jesus was pained, for He groaned in Spirit.

      Lord Jesus, help us never to disappoint Thee in our faith in Thy power and Thy promise to answer our faith. Amen.
