A Quickening Spirit

      "And so it is written...the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." 1 Cor. 15:45

      We are of the earth, earthy, by birth, but we have a new birth. That which was first was natural and earthy; afterwards comes the spiritual. How wonderful is the operation of God in creating in fallen man an eternal life! "He that hath the Son hath life." These mortal bodies shall become, through the power of our Lord as the quickening Spirit, glorious, immortal bodies in which He will dwell throughout the eternal years. What a glorious outlook for us whose eyes are turned heavenward from whence we look for Him.

      Oh, Thou quickening Spirit, come quickly! We long to see thee! Amen.
