"Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable Gift" 2 Cor. 9:15
Paul has been praising the Corinthians for their liberal gifts to the saints in Judea. His heart is full and he breaks forth in a note of praise as he thinks of God's greater gift of His Son. -"Thanks...for the unspeakable Gift." There was no treasure which God could give comparable to the gift of His Son, and "Having given us all things?" How could it be possible that the Father would give to sinners the Son of His Love? How we ought to love Him! Is there any thing we have or are that we would withhold from Him?
Loving Lord, help us to sense in a new way what it means for us to possess Thee, the unspeakable Gift. Amen.
