"And He is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the pre-eminence." Colossians 1:18
The Word of God emphasizes this fact over and over again, and we need to have it emphasized so that we can be always viewing Him in the proper spirit. The church is His Body. We are members of that Body. We are One with Him. What is involved in this? We must recognize our relationship and think of Him always as our Head, and look to Him for wisdom and guidance. We must joyfully seek to walk in fellowship with Him, do His good pleasure and in all things please Him.
Lord Jesus, Thou great Head of the Church, help us to honor Thee this day be lip and life. Amen.
