"Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:24
We are servants of the Lord Christ. We may never receive what we think we should, or what we hope for, in this world, but we are sure of a proper compensation when God's books are opened, and He will render to every man according to his deeds. Earthly masters will disappoint us; our Heavenly Master -never! No greater privilege was ever accorded to men than that of serving the Lord Christ. Let us seek to keep this in mind day by day. We are heirs to a wonderful inheritance and our portion will be assigned to us. What a joy to be a servant to such a Master!
Lord Christ, may our eyes be upon Thee as we take up the tasks of the day and joyfully serve Thee. Amen.
