      "Jesus Christ, the same, yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8

      "The Same!" How we love this verse. The world is a sinful, restless world. Uncertainty is written everywhere in human life, but the Living Word and the Written Word are unchangeable. What was He before He was born of the Virgin Mary? He was God. What was He when He lived and labored among men? He was God. What was He when He hung on the Cross? He was God. What is He today? Still God, with the same pierced hands and feet, the same scarred side, the same loving heart- for having loved His own, He loves them still and will love them throughout eternity. Nothing in human thought or language is more wonderful.

      Lord Jesus Christ, Thou art the same. Help us to sense it and intensify our love for Thee and may it also be always "the same". Amen.
