"And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world." 1 John 4:14
The apostle John is making full proof of his ministry. He is testifying to the truth from his own personal experience, conscious that he is indwelt by the Spirit and has the new nature. He says that the Son was sent for one specific purpose-to be the Savior of men, lost men. The business of the believer is to testify to that fact. The greatest business in the world is to follow in the footsteps of men life John, the fisher of men. It is not a question of church membership or of worldly possessions, but of knowledge of Him. Have you seen Him? Do you know Him? Then go and testify of Him.
Son of God, Savior of lost men, send us out with Thy love message today. Amen.
