The Alpha and Omega

      "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8

      "Alpha" is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and "Omega" is the last. So our Lord is First and Last. He is the Source of all things. He is the Source of all truth, of all the promises given in the Word of God, of all the prophecies, of all commands and of all penalties. How great is our Lord, "which is and which was and which is to come"-the All-inclusive One! Everything is involved in the two words, "beginning" and "ending" and one word includes it all-"is."

      Oh, Thou Jehovah-Elohim, First and Last, who seest and knowest all things, hold us by Thy hand. Amen.
