The Offspring of David

      "I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the Bright and morning star." Revelation 22:16

      Christ is the Stem which sprang from the root of Jesse, and He is the Offspring of David. God, the Son, created the heavens and the earth and all that are therein, yet He is the Offspring of David, David's Lord and David's Son. He was born King of the Jews and dead King of the Jews and some day He will reign King of the Jews. This was God's promise and all of God's promises shall be fulfilled. As the Divine Creator, He is the Root of David's house; as Man, He is the Offspring. He sends His angel to give this testimony to us and to the world. There is no contradiction in God's Word concerning God's Son.

      We glorify Thy word and Thy work, our Lord. We look into Thy face and adore Thee. Amen.
